Each day, we keep checking the web, looking for a way of getting around the fact I can't get a Working Holiday Visa (We're even considering getting married HA!). But it looks like the best solution is to travel Australia 3 months at a time, leaving to see the surrounding countries like New Zealand and Asia in between. It's gonna be expensive but we can make it work...

A Tough Start
With the decision made; we both had so many
thoughts going through our minds. Where do we start?
First things first; VISAs.. we wasn't getting anywhere without them. Now there are plenty of websites offering visa's or help with applying for them but they all charge a fee. If you plan on working whilst you travel, the one you need is the Subclass 462. We found the cheapest way of getting yourself a visa is directly through the Australian Immigration website. Here's the link: Working Holiday Visa
It took 24hrs for Dave to get his visa granted. The fact that he got his visa so quickly and received it without any difficulty made me realize that this was now so real and so possible. It gave me the motivation I needed to just do it and apply for it! Little did I know, the next few months were going to be the longest and most exhausting months I have ever had..
With me (Aga) being a Polski, I could only dream of travelling around Australia for a couple of years. This kind of thing just doesn't happen to Polish people.
And then it came... like a slap across the face with a big wet fish... here was the problem! We looked and looked but couldn't find a working visa for Polish citizens... anywhere! And then it dawned on us, it’s not that simple for Polish citizens to move to Australia, unless just a 3 month holiday, but that’s not what we wanted. We wanted to work and travel for 12 months. Is this even going to be possible now?

A Very Special 21st Birthday
After dating for quite some time, talks of how we were both bored of our everyday routine become quite frequent. The 'what if's' and 'imagine that's' were mentioned more and more every day. We both dream't of leaving this place behind; living the ultimate life and travelling the world. But never in a million years did we think we would make it a reality.
Obviously, we both had our own top places we wanted to visit & things we wanted to see. But, one place we both had at the top of our list was Australia. Why not start as far away as possible. Besides, neither of us had ever heard anyone we know say a bad word about the place after returning from their own adventures.
Aga's 21st Birthday was approaching, 'The Big One', the one she should never forget. So I wasn't about to let her have anything less than the best Birthday shes ever had. So I booked up a fancy restaurant in the city, along with a drinks at a beautiful roof top bar called Madisons. I would recommend it to anyone if you want a chilled few with amazing views of St Pauls Cathedral.
Anyway. After surprising her with our night out in London we made the little decision to pack up our lives in England and begin travelling the world.
Let the adventures begin!
